EngageAsia is an initiative by the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific which aims to assist primary and secondary schools with bringing Asia into every Australian classroom.

Education in Australia is currently undergoing a rapid and transformative overhaul as we step further into the 'Asian Century'. Central to the new national curriculum is the cross-curriculum priority that schools at primary and secondary level must incorporate 'Asia and Australia's Engagement with Asia' as part of their classroom content.

The Australian White Paper 'Australia in the Asian Century' also addresses the need to shift our focus from European-centric education content, to more comprehensively cover our place in the Asia Pacific region.

EngageAsia provides courses and programs for teachers and students which support these changes.
